TIA Participates in Mommy Blogger Brunch
Representatives of the Toy Industry
Association (TIA) joined today with fifty (50) Mommy Bloggers from up
and down the Eastern Seaboard for the second annual “Bloggers
Brunch” sponsored by Child’s Play Communications.
As part of its social media campaign and outreach to the blogger
community, TIA joined with companies such as Cuisinart, FujiFilm,
Goddard Schools, Good Housekeeping, Joy Berry Enterprises, Nickelodeon,
and the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau to meet
face-to-face with the bloggers and explore their areas of
interest.
Product donations from TIA members Crayola, Faber Castell/Creativity
for Kids, Fisher-Price, Pretty Ugly LLC, and TechnoSource USA helped
draw attendees to the TIA exhibit, where the www.ToyInfo.org website was
introduced as a “one-stop resource for parents and caregivers on
toys and play.”
In addition, the event was the perfect opportunity to let the mommy
bloggers know about the upcoming launch of the first-ever Toy of the
Year (TOTY) awards consumer site.
“TIA will continue to strengthen its presence in the
blogosphere, with mom bloggers, parents and caregivers,” said
Stacy Leistner, TIA vice president of strategic
communications.
Additional information about the event can be found on the
Child’s Play post-event blog. Event photos have also been posted
on Flickr; a video will be forthcoming
