Toy Fair 2012 ‘Life-Sized iPad’ to be Interactive
Gateway for Show Attendees
January 10, 2012 | Keeping on the leading-edge of
the technology curve, the Toy Industry Association’s (TIA) 109th American
International Toy Fair has added an interactive touch screen
wall to the show floor that will raise the bar of engagement, play and
resources for attendees, while giving exhibitors an additional
opportunity to enhance their exposure in front of the 15,000+ industry
professionals visiting from around the world.
“The ‘Fair Necessities’ interactive wall is a
‘life-sized iPad’ that will allow multiple users to interact
with pertinent show information – from floor plans and scheduled
events to exhibitor listings, Apps, videos and more – on the
three-meter touch screen,” said Kimberly Carcone, senior director
of trade show and event marketing at TIA.
Exhibitors who include their listing on the ‘Fair
Necessities’ wall will be able to share their information with
buyers who are there to scope out more than 100,000 hot new toys and
play products on display at the show.
The Fair Necessities wall is one of several key opportunities for
exhibitors to advertise their products and brands at the show.
“Toy Fair Video Advertising and the 2012 Toy Fair Exhibitor
Locator Guide are both tried-and-true ways to stand out from the
crowd that are also highly effective,” said Carcone.
70 flats screen televisions at the convention center will display 15-
or 30-second company commercials that will air at least once each hour,
while the 2012 Toy Fair Exhibitor Locator Guide is the only
official printed guide listing exhibitors, their booths and their phone
numbers. Full-page, half-page and quarter-page ads in the Exhibitor
Locator Guide are available.
