About Power of Play

While other organizations provide such fundamental services as housing, food, and shelter, there are few that focus on giving homeless children the opportunity to experience the most fundamental ingredient of childhood—play. Through the Power of Play (POP) program, the TIF sought to bring that joy to these neediest of children.

Creating coherent play programs
Working in conjunction with six highly regarded partner organizations, the TIF created several dynamic, effective play initiatives to provide homeless children with a safe environment for open-ended play activities. We then worked to consolidate and unify these various curriculums to produce a coherent program with multiple components.

Researching and refining
Each program partnership included extensive data collection to track the specific sub-populations that were served and measure the effectiveness of the curriculum.
