TIF Brings Play to Children of Incarcerated Parents

Over 2 million children in the U.S. are impacted by their parent’s imprisonment – not just financially, but emotionally and socially, too.   Here at the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF), we know that toys can’t bring moms and dads home, but they can help kids smile, laugh, and know that they are not alone in the world.  That is why we made a donation of toys in March 2012 to Children of Promise in Brooklyn, NY.  Recreation at Children of Promise helps kids express themselves, reduces the risk of repeating the cycle of destructive behavior, and is a reminder of what childhood is all about – fun!

Children of Promise is part of The Toy Bank network as a member agency of our partner, Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.)
