TIF Welcomes New Toy Bank Contributors

January 21, 2013 | The Toy Industry Foundation (TIF), the philanthropic arm of the North American toy industry, thanks the following 9 companies who made their first-ever donation to The Toy Bank during the final months of a fantastic 2012:

Toys donated by these generous companies during the fourth quarter were distributed to 12 charities in The Toy Bank’s network that serve children in need in California, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and Texas as well as to TIF’s Play Comforts program, which supports military families in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America Military Services. Since its inception in 2003, The Toy Bank has collected and distributed more than $78 million in toys from more than 1,400 companies.

Companies are invited to join The Toy Bank next month and make a product contribution at the close of the American International Toy Fair in New York City. Toy Bank team volunteers will pick up donations from participating exhibitors’ booths. Contact Foundation Coordinator Melissa Sorvillo at 646-520-4878 pre-show or visit booth 5201 to sign up.

All Toy Bank donors are eligible for a tax deduction, and have their company name listed on the TIF website, in the TIF Annual Report and in the TOTY Tribute Book. Donors also receive a Toy Bank “Official Contributor” image for use on their company website.
