Online Auction to Benefit TIF; Kicks off March 14

March 12, 2013 | The Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) has announced that it will hold a five-day online auction beginning on Thursday, March 14th at 3 p.m. (Eastern). One hundred percent of the proceeds will support TIF programs, such as The Toy Bank, which provides brand new toys to children who are ill, impoverished, in foster care, living on a military base, or otherwise in need.

Hosted by eBay Giving Works, the fundraising effort will provide collectors and kids of all ages with a unique opportunity to own one-of-a-kind and limited edition toy collectibles. The auction will conclude promptly at 3 p.m. (Eastern) on Tuesday, March 19.

  • Limited Edition CHROME Tonka T.S. 4000 Steel Dump Truck
    Created following Tonka's 65th anniversary celebration, this limited edition rare CHROME version of the classic T.S. 4000 Steel Dump Truck is a must-have for toy vehicle collectors and Tonka lovers! Measures approximately 14"(length) x 7" (width) x 10" (height) and is fully functional. Donated by Funrise Toy Corporation.

  • Limited Edition Graffiti designed and wrapped Tonka T.S. 4000 Steel Dump Truck
    Stores do not carry this limited edition GRAFFITI designed version of the classic T.S. 4000 Steel Dump Truck. This extremely rare must-have for toy vehicle collectors and Tonka lovers measures approximately 14"(length) x 7" (width) x 10" (height) and is fully functional. Decorated by graffiti artist Matte Cherowitzo. Donated by Funrise Toy Corporation.

  • 48” CUSTOM My Little Pony Rainbow Dash Plush
    This 4 ft. tall plush item is a one-of-a-kind, custom-made My Little Pony named Rainbow Dash. Created specifically for this charity auction by Funrise Toy Corporation, she cannot be bought in stores.

  • Two LEGO collector’s items in a packaged bid: 

Ole Kirk’s House: Signed by Thomas Kirk Kristiansen (4th generation of the Kristiansen family, founders of LEGO) & not sold in stores, this extremely rare LEGO® set, produced in a limited run for LEGO employees, is a model of Ole Kirk’s House in Billund, Denmark. Ole Kirk Kristiansen lived in the house with his family when he founded The LEGO Group in 1932.
