Fall Toy Preview Toy Collection to Benefit Kids in Dallas
Area
September 11, 2012 | The Toy Industry Foundation
(TIF) will once again be collecting toys, games and youth entertainment
products from generous toy companies at the close of Fall Toy Preview
2012 (Oct. 2-4). The toy drive will impact kids in need served
by TIF’s Toy Bank – the official charity of the Dallas Market Center
show.
“This year, donating booth samples is easier than ever before,”
explained Foundation Manager Marisa Medina. “Exhibitors should
simply let us know via
email that they would like to donate products – and we will
fill out all of the required paperwork on their behalf. Once they’re
on-site, all they’ll have to do is sign on the dotted line!”
As an added service, TIF can collect toys in Dallas prior to the show
opening. Companies interested in turning over their products early
should notify TIF; Foundation staff will pick up the donations on the
afternoon of Monday, October 1st.
Toys received at Fall Toy Preview will be delivered to charities
within The Toy
Bank’s network in the Dallas area, including Rainbow Days, Dallas Dream Center and Captain Hope’s Kids. Children who are homeless,
living in poverty, or whose parents are facing addiction will benefit
from this collection; as will kids living on military bases served by
TIF’s Play Comforts program.
To participate in either collection, simply email thetoybank@toyindustryfoundation.org
and state your interest in donating at the show.
