Silent Auction at TOTY to Benefit TIF
January 24, 2013 | A silent auction with rare,
limited edition and one-of-a-kind toys will be held at the Toy of the Year (TOTY)
Awards on Saturday, February 9, 2013. Proceeds from the auction
will benefit the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF).
Bid items include:
- A Limited Edition Chrome Tonka T.S. 4000 Steel Dump
Truck, as well as a Limited Edition Graffiti
designed and wrapped Tonka T.S. 4000 Steel Dump
Truck signed by artist Matte Cherowitzo. Donated by
Funrise Toy Corporation.

- A 48” Custom My Little Pony Rainbow Dash
Plush. There is nothing “little” about this
collector’s item, which cannot be bought in stores! Donated by
Funrise Toy Corporation.

- Ole Kirk’s House, a limited edition item
signed by Thomas Kirk Kristiansen (fourth generation of the Kristiansen
family, founders of LEGO) – a dream for any rare toy collector.
LEGO’s Palace Cinema, a highly detailed,
two-story collectible model featuring a sidewalk of the stars, six
minifigured and hard-to-find elements such as a red base plate, and dark
tan, dark red and gold pieces. Donated by LEGO.

- The Vincent van Gogh Barbie celebrates van
Gogh's influential piece: The Starry Night. The one-of-a-kind doll is
hand painted and is considered a premium version of a production edition
doll. Her blue-toned satin dress features the painting print, with
encrusted canary and black Swarovski gemstones. Comes with a certificate
of authenticity; donated by Mattel.

The minimum bid for each item will be posted at $1,000 (with the
exception of Vincent van Gogh Barbie, minimum bid $2,500). TOTY tickets
