Nearly 1,000 boys and girls living on Naval Air Station Key West will be treated to a special toy giveaway and carnival on June 20th by TIF and our partner, Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) Military Services. The fun-filled day is designed to provide some relief to the kids whose parents bravely serve our country.

10/22/2011 | Play Comforts Delivers Thousands of Toys to Military Families Deployed Overseas
On October 22nd partners from the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) and Boys and Girls Clubs of America joined forces for a special toy distribution and Halloween carnival for Army and Air Force families stationed in Germany. More than 7,000 servicemen and women and their children gathered to take part in the fall festivities which included face painting, bouncy castles, and a spooktacular costume parade. The giveaway was the last distribution of the year and the second international event for the partnership that began in 2009.

Military families stationed at installations in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia were brought comfort and joy as the Toy Industry Foundation in partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of America delivered 7,000 brand new toys and games to our nation’s youngest heroes on Friday, August 5, 2011.

On Tuesday, June 28, 2011, the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) and Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) visited the Massachusetts Military Reservation in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts for a special Toy Bank distribution in celebration of the year of the Coast Guard Family.

04/21/2011 | TIF and BGCA Partners Kick-Off 2011 Play Comforts Programming
On Wednesday, April 13th, the Toy Industry Foundation headed south once more to distribute toys to children of military families at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort and Marine Corps Recruit Depot in South Carolina. “Fightertown East” is home to six Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornet fighter-attack squadrons and one Navy F/A-18 strike fighter squadron. In partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of America, TIF made play possible for several hundred kids in attendance with have one or more parent serving our nation.

12/02/2010 | Play Comforts Brings Holiday Joy to Military Families at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
On December 2nd partners from the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) and Boys and Girls Clubs of America landed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and arrived via U-boat for a special holiday toy distribution for families representing all branches of the military.

11/17/2010 | Play Comforts Partnership Kicks Off the Holiday Season at MacDill Air Force Base
On November 17, 2010 representatives from the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) and Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BCGA) visited MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida for the largest Play Comforts toy distribution to date. The event began with a display of colors by the Honor Guard and welcome by Commander Colonel Lenny Richoux.

09/15/2010 | Play Comforts Partnership Brings “Christmas in August” to Army & Marine Families across North Carolina
The Toy Industry Foundation travelled to North Carolina this summer to distribute toys to children of military families at two of the most active and combat ready installations in the United States. In partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of America, TIF first visited Fort Bragg, home of the Airborne and Army Special Operations, on August 4th.

05/10/2010 | Toys Bring Joy and Comfort to Navy & Marine Families in California
As part of the Toy Industry Foundation’s (TIF) national Play Comforts partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BCGA), the two organizations visited the Murphy Canyon Youth Center in San Diego for a special Toy Bank distribution on May 10, 2010. The toy giveaway brought joy to more than two thousand military family members stationed in San Diego.

03/25/2010 | Play Comforts Military Families at U.S. Coast Guard Base
On March 25, 2010 representatives from the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) and Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BCGA) visited U.S. Coast Guard Base Portsmouth in Virginia for a special Toy Bank distribution. The toy giveaway took place during National Boys & Girls Clubs of America Week and brought joy to hundreds of children of Coast Guard and other military personnel, many of whom arrived home that very day from patrol on the Coast Guard Cutter Northland.

On December 15, 2009 representatives from the Toy Industry Foundation (TIF) and Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BCGA) traveled to Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington D.C. for a special Toy Bank distribution to salute the young heroes of our military families.
