Where Do The Toys Go?
Since its inception in 2003, The Toy Bank
has given toys to more than 400 charities and the children they serve,
and we continue to expand each year. Recipient agencies serve children
living in poverty, those with special needs, children facing illness,
schools and educational facilities, and more. Learn more
about some of our recipient charities.
In addition to the vast
network of charities that we reach through our partnership with
Kids in Distressed Situations, the Toy Industry Foundation has developed
special partnerships with other national organizations.
With Boys
and Girls Clubs of America Military Services, The Toy Bank is able
to deliver toys to children in military families to give them comfort
during tough times. Through our Play Comforts program, toys are
delivered to more than thirty bases with the highest deployment rates in
the nation annually. This is the toy industry’s way of saying
"Thank You" to those who sacrifice for us every day.
We also deliver Toy Bank toys to our national partner Court
Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children to help build bonds
between advocates and the children they care for. Toy Bank toys serve as
the tools to build hope and establish trust between children and their
guardians, and they are also used to celebrate important milestones
including birthdays and placements in loving, permanent homes.
