Election 2012: Every Vote Counts

impact that the 2012 election will have on the Toy Industry Association
(TIA) and its members, all U.S. businesses, and the nation as a whole,
TIA has provided its members and their employees with an “Election
Resource Guide” containing key information about each
candidate’s political platform and details on how to register to
vote.
“An election is such an important event in our society and
voting is a crucial part of the democratic process,” explains Andy
Hackman, TIA vice president of government affairs. “We hope that
TIA members and employees will take advantage of the wealth of
information available to today’s voter.”
TIA’s “Election Resource Guide” draws from
well-respected, non-partisan information and voter guides that span
national, state and local elections. The Guide also includes important
information on voting registration.

A non-partisan website that offers a look at candidates running for
office based on background information, issue positions, voting records,

ultimately have an impact on the various policies and legislation that
will affect toy companies in the years to come,” added Hackman.
“Every vote counts … and education and action are the key to
ensuring that leaders are elected who will reflect our individual
