Every Vote Counts

The 2012 election is important to TIA, its members, U.S. businesses, and the nation as a whole. Education and action are the key to ensuring leaders are elected who will reflect our individual preferences.

This "Election Resource Guide" provides TIA members and their employees with resources that identify how legislators and candidates stand on key issues. TIA staff has attempted to identify only well-respected, non-partisan information and voter guides that span National, State and local elections.  Also included are reminders on how to register to vote.  Every vote counts … members of the toy industry can – and will – have an impact on the outcome of the 2012 election.

Corporate Social Responsibility

TIA seeks to educate, inspire and encourage members of the toy industry to consider, adopt or strengthen responsible social and environmental initiatives in areas as diverse as:

International Trade

As part of our ongoing efforts to keep members of the toy industry apprised of global trade and customs issues that could affect their international business operations, TIA offers timely information and clarity on such key areas as:

Invention and Design

TIA does not itself accept inventions and/or design samples.  We do, however, offer a number of resources for those who are interested in becoming a part of the toy industry.  TIA’s Toy Inventor & Designer Guide is an extensive how-to pamphlet outlining the steps involved in developing, protecting, selling or manufacturing a new invention or design in the highly competitive toy industry.  Also provided in the Guide are references to safety information and a list of resources (in the form of organizations, publications and websites) that will provide further information and assistance for aspiring toy inventors.   A directory of Inventors and Designers who provide service to the toy and youth entertainment industries is also available in the “Tools” section of this website.  Each directory listing includes contact information, year of establishment and areas of expertise as identified by the listing party. The directory includes both TIA members (indicated with a logo) and non-members who have paid a fee to be included.

Reports and Studies

Learn how kids ages 12 and under spend their leisure time, how much households spend on electronic toys, how teens use the Internet from our library of recent research reports and studies, and more.

TIA experts document insights and updates on emerging toy, retail and social media trends ranging from the hottest new fads among kids and teens to how toy marketers and communicators are utilizing social media to promote brand loyalty.
