Free Resources and Tools Available to Toy Fair Exhibitors

January 29, 2013 | The Toy Industry Association (TIA) has announced several resources and tools available to exhibitors attending the 110^th American International Toy Fair. Each of the following is offered free of charge unless otherwise noted:

• Product Preview
  Hosted by the Toy Fair Public Relations Team on Saturday, February 9^th (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) in the Javits Center.  Appointments are scheduled in fifteen minute blocks; information gathered will then be used to inform and educate media about products and companies at the show. Product images will be featured in a “new product showcase” video loop that will play in the Press Center throughout Toy Fair. 
  
  Because a limited number of appointments are available, TIA members are given first preference. Non-member exhibitors will be seen on an as-available basis. To schedule an appointment, contact Toy Fair Product Preview Coordinator Dan Fernandez. 

• Trend Database Product Information Submission 
  Every Toy Fair exhibitor is invited to submit up to three products for inclusion in the master trend Toy Fair database that is used by the TIA PR/Trends team to inform and educate media on products and trends at the show. Submit product information online by Friday, February 1; information must be submitted in full and cannot be changed once inputted.
  
  
• Event and Booth Happening Promotion 
  To help TIA publicize exhibitor booth happenings and events, please be sure to complete the online form by February 5^th with all event details. The information provided will be listed on the official show happenings page on the Toy Fair website, streamed into Toy Fair mobile and posted in the press room for maximum exposure.

• A template press release is available for exhibitors to share with their local media regarding their participation in the show. There is also a template press release for participating buyers.
  
  
• A recording of Toy Fair PR Bootcamp: Tips for Developing Your Toy Fair 2013 Media and Promotions Strategies  webinar is available to review all of the resources and planning tools available as well as some tips veteran exhibitors and media who have covered the show in the past.
  
  
• The Toy Fair 2012 Media List is available to help prepare and plan media outreach. Email Adrienne Appell for a copy.
  
  
• Toy Fair’s Online Press Room is a tool for exhibitors to post their company information, press releases, and other information. For more information contact sales@vpoinc.com; there is a fee associated with posting to the online press room.
  
  
• The TIA PR team has enlisted the help of seasoned bloggers who have been to Toy Fair to provide their tips on covering the show. Feel free to share these with blogger media contacts to help them navigate Toy Fair.
  
  
• Leading up to and during the show there will be lots of activity on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, and the Play Happens, Toy Fair NY and Toy Industry Association websites.  Remember to use the hashtags #TF13 or #TFNY … tagged content will also stream to the Online Press Room.
