“Got Toy Cars?” … Auto-Related Toys and Games Needed for Unique Promotional Opportunity

August 23, 2011 | Toy Industry Association (TIA) members, Toy Fair exhibitors and PR contacts for toy companies are reminded of the call for submissions of toy-related cars and games needed for a custom display that TIA is creating for the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX 2011) at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas from November 1-3.

“Where the Love Affairs Begins” exhibit at AAPEX 2011 will highlight the strong ties between childhood play patterns and adult career choices and hobbies; the display will feature auto-themed toys ranging from small die-cast cars to child-size ride-ons.  While the exhibit will be designed to spark fond memories for AAPEX attendees, a primary goal for TIA and participating companies is to highlight toys as an important part of a merchandise mix representing alternative product categories. AAPEX represents the $395 billion global motor vehicle aftermarket.

All car-related toy submissions will be considered, including playsets, plush, RC vehicles, collectibles and more. Toy companies will be asked to verify that all recommended products comply with relevant toy safety laws and standards and that the products selected for display or coverage will be available at retail by the time of broadcast/print/display.

Archival advertisements (both print and broadcast) are also being compiled to feature as part of an audio/visual element in the display.

To submit a product for consideration, please complete this product submittal form and return to TIA as soon as possible but no later than August 31, 2011. Other than the cost of the product and shipping, there is no additional fee to participate.

Questions or requests for additional information can be directed to TIA’s Adrienne Appell (646.520.4863) or Stacy Leistner (646.520.4858).
