Tickets for TOTY 2012 on Sale; Sponsorship Opportunities Include Benefit to TIF

December 19, 2011 | Tickets are still on sale for the 12th Annual Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards – also known as the “Oscars” of the toy industry and the “it” gathering of the year for industry professionals.

A Toy Industry Association-administered event in support of the Toy Industry Foundation, TOTY 2012 will kick off Toy Fair week on the evening of Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center.

The dinner and cocktails reception (6 p.m.), awards ceremony (8 p.m.) and dessert reception (9:30 p.m.) will allow attendees to mingle with industry legends and rising stars while ushering in 2012 with the toy industry’s most creative, innovative toys, games and entertainment properties. The evening will also salute the accomplishments of Arnie Rubin, Founder and CEO of Funrise Toys, Ltd. and Frederick August Otto Schwarz, Founder and President of FAO Schwarz as the latest inductees into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame.

The 2012 awards presentation will unveil the TOTY winners in 11 categories, plus the overall “Toy of the Year” Award across all categories, selected by consumers who voted on, retailers, journalists and TIA members. The winners will be selected from more than 500 products that were submitted for consideration during the open call for nominations this past fall.  [View the nominated products here.]
